katrina jade and kenna james in “in vivo - excerpt”

Image
scene title:  in vivo - excerpt performers:  katrina jade, kenna james site:  all her luv (missax) production credits:  missa x (dir., scr., ed.) trailer l: katrina jade, r: kenna james "in vivo" is an 80-minute scene (a "featurette," in industry-speak) released on march 14th on missax.com. i haven't watched the whole thing, but i gather that kenna and katrina play lesbian wives who find themselves stuck in such a way that only katrina sleeping with the male talent in the scene, chad white, can rescue them. the excerpt posted on allherluv on the last day of april is just the twenty-minute sex scene in which kenna shows katrina that she loves her and demands assurance that no one else makes her feel as good; i'm not even sure whether it comes before or after katrina's tryst with chad. i haven't seen much of katrina jade's work, though i'm aware of her remarkable presence in the industry, but kenna james is one of the top four...

sofi ryan and kenna james in “untreatable part 2”

Image
scene title:  untreatable part 2 performers:  sofi ryan, kenna james site:  digital playground (mindgeek) production credits:  françois clousot (dir.), zach (scr.) trailer l: sofi ryan, r: kenna james i'm a little disappointed that this is the first digital playground scene i've been able to cover all month. it seems that starting in april, digital playground has stopped producing stand-alone scenes under the flixxx brand and are only focused on features (full-length movies with four to five scenes aimed at the dvd market) now. this is of course a reversion to the studio's original purpose long before they were bought by mindgeek, but it does mean fewer scenes, of less variety, every month. it might also mean more budget for the features so that the overall quality is better, but as a girl/girl viewer, for me it means hoping for scraps from every production instead of being sure of a few scenes a month. the scraps in this production are sofi ry...

kenna james and riley reid in “the case of the mysterious panties”

Image
scene title:  the case of the mysterious panties performers:  kenna james, riley reid site:  girlsway (gamma) production credits:  stills by alan (dir.), zombie (ed.), ravefire63 (scr.) trailer l: kenna james, r: riley reid genre parody is such an easy way to make porn with a modicum of intelligence, it's surprising that there isn't more of it. perhaps the modicum of intelligence is the issue. the scene opens with riley reid sitting in an almost totally dark office except for convenient bars of light on her face and where the client will sit in the chair opposite, doing a bad philip marlowe impression in voiceover as kenna james walks in, distraught because her wife may be cheating on her. riley takes the case after being promised double. the budgets under which porn operates are obvious when the cheating wife she photos on a stakeout is clearly also kenna james (although the woman she's cheating with is a cameoing eliza ibarra). kenna is prese...

charlotte stokely and kenna james in “closing time”

Image
scene title:  closing time [scene 1] performers:  charlotte stokely, kenna james site:  wicked pictures production credits:  mike quasar (dir., ed., scr.) trailer l: kenna james, r: charlotte stokely here, on the first day of my commitment to reviewing girl/girl scenes, the question arises: what counts as a scene? everything else i've reviewed so far has been the story of a single encounter, with no plot after the sex. here, by contrast, the story picks back up after the sex scene and continues to what seems to be a fairly arbitrary cutoff point, after which scene 2 and its sequels (i won't be watching them, because this is the only girl/girl scene in the movie) will presumably draw the narrative strands set up here to some kind of satisfactory conclusion. but just because the story is incomplete for me doesn't mean i can't judge the scene according to my usual metrics. the script gets nearly full marks, because mike quasar put effort into it and ...
