serene siren and carolina sweets in “women seeking women #152”

Image
scene title:  women seeking women #152 [scene 4] performers:  serene siren, carolina sweets site:  girlfriends films production credits:  b. skow (dir.) trailer l: carolina sweets, r: serene siren the second b. skow-directed girlfriends release i've watched every installment of this month, and possibly the best scene i've gotten from him (and from the studio) all month. none, or almost none, of that is due to his work: most of it is due to serene siren and to a lesser extent carolina sweets. it's worth taking a moment to look back on the entirety of women seeking women #152, which (like many or even most girlfriends releases is really two entirely different stories told across two scenes each, packaged together for no particular reason other than that dvd sales are the only thing the company really understands). the first half, with ella knox and jenna foxx as the employees of elexis monroe and ryan keely, started strong but went nowhere; the second...

lacy lennon and serene siren in “can’t be away from you for another minute”

Image
scene title:  can't be away from you for another minute performers:  lacy lennon, serene siren site:  cherry pimps (pimp.xxx) production credits:  dean capture (dir.), lacy lennon (scr.) trailer l: serene siren, r: lacy lennon cherry pimps really does try. lacy lennon, the new it girl of early 2019, is their cherry of the month [sic] for april, and this girl/girl scene was, i gather, her brainchild: a scenario of closeted lesbian lovers in the 1940s or 50s, co-starring one of the few current girl/girl performers who could pull off the classic melodrama look. not that the period costuming goes beyond some ornate lingerie and long strings of plastic pearls: even their hairstyles are more of a reference to a generic past than a recreation of any particular style. a highly desaturated introduction, with lacy waiting anxiously by her phone for a serene who does not answer, establishes the fillip of narrative: when serene enters, she is distraught ...

ana foxxx and serene siren in “sex & lies”

Image
scene title:  sex & lies [scene 3] performers:  ana foxxx, serene siren site:  wicked pictures production credits:  hank hoffman (dir.) trailer l: serene siren, r: ana foxxx two weeks into april, two wicked features with girl/girl scenes. i was not expecting that (before april, wicked hadn't posted a girl/girl scene since november, and they've always been relatively sparing), but i'm pleasantly surprised. and i'm overjoyed at the appearance here of ana foxxx, my favorite pornstar of her generation and one of the most beautiful women on the planet regardless of profession. the scene itself is not particularly narratively interesting: it's a stylized example of an exclusive women's-only sex party being described by ryan driller to avi love (who play the principle characters). it's so indebted to 90s-style erotica, in fact, that mood music is the only sound throughout fully half the scene. but ana foxxx and serene siren are so expressive and ...

serene siren and lila fray in “lesbian legal #14”

Image
scene title:  lesbian legal #14 [scene 1] performers:  serene siren, lila fray site:  girlfriends films production credits:  b. skow (dir.) trailer l: lila fray, r: serene siren well, i'll be damned. a girlfriends scene, a girlfriends movie even, with actual color grading. lesbian legal #14 was released on dvd in september 2018, so my ugly suspicion that a certain unemployed girl/girl director had migrated somewhere where production credits don't get posted can be allayed. not that anyone could mistake this for a girlsway scene: the pre-sex performances are still just as stilted and awkward, the camera work as profoundly uninteresting, and the script just as literal and entertainment-free as the classic girlfriends i know and love to hate. even so, the loss of the dingy, grimy encrustation that has been girlfriends' visual signature for so long transforms my basic sympathy for the scene: now, rather than loathing it on sight and grudgingly admitti...

charlotte stokely and serene siren in “breakfast with my friend - part 1”

Image
scene title:  breakfast with my friend - part 1 performers:  charlotte stokely, serene siren site:  sweetheart video (mile high) production credits:  ricky greenwood (dir.), sean aitch (ed.), maddy barton (scr.) trailer l: charlotte stokely, r: serene siren two sweetheart videos in a row about lesbian partners having the slightest ruffle in their domestic placidity, which leads, inevitably, to sex. but because this is the opening scene to the forthcoming dvd, we get a more extended introduction, with penny pax and sovereign syre as charlotte's childhood friends having brunch with the couple and awakening just the slightest touch of jealousy in serene. i can't express how great it is to see all these wonderful women in their thirties just playing women and not having to be forced into aged-up roles as stepmothers, teachers, or bosses. specifically, this is the first time i've seen serene siren not playing an authority figure paired with a "teen....
