the second scene from lesbian beauties #20: black and asian (the search-term driven literalism of porn titling is so miserable; but at least it's not *gag* ebony) is the last one i'll get to enjoy this month; sweetheart is rolling the next two out (including one with my forever fave ana foxxx) in may. but this is a spectacular way to close out the series on the blog: nigerian-american demi and filipino-american ember are still underappreciated but poised for major breakthroughs, ambitious, smart, and highly skilled. they also really enjoy each other: their appearance together on cherry pimp's wildoncam in march was the best i've ever seen, and they mentioned having worked together before. this scene is presumably what they meant.

the scene itself is rather light on story, typical for sweetheart's race-based anthology series. demi and ember are new stepsisters (both of them are 28 but can still apparently play teenagers), demi is trying to study but ember is playing music too loud (the music being added in postproduction is well done but hilarious given what a phone's speakers actually sound like), they argue, then tussle on the bed, then kiss. it's silly, but both of them are good enough actors to pull it off. the sex is spectacular, intimate and fun, with repeated character moments (giving each other pleasure becomes a competition) that keep the scene alive and moving. their connection is unmistakable, and their enjoyment of each other as apparently genuine as i've ever seen.

but the real star of the scene was the cinematography. there are so many light sources sculpting their bodies to such breathtaking effect that it could seem slightly overly precious at times, more like a french academic painting than anything that could legitimately happen in life. even my bête noire, the window behind them, was meticulously corrected for, so that the blue of the sky was visible at the same time as the detail on their faces. ricky greenwood (and presumably d.p. james avalon) knocked it out of the park again.

both demi and ember are near the top of my see-everything-they-put-out list, so it is perhaps simply confirmation bias that scores this scene so high. but i'm pretty sure i have the capacity to be disappointed in substandard work from them. this just wasn't it.
