once more, the question of what a scene is has to be broached. i wouldn't review a show on a standard camming site, even if it was available as a later download. but because glamour site cherry pimps, alone (as far as i know) of the major mainstream porn sites, includes semiweekly cam shows as part of their update schedule, i'm including their girl/girl entries in my review.
as i've noted before, i squirm at porn in which the girls acknowledge the camera; but what gets me off personally isn't the point of these reviews. the premise of camshows is that the girls interact with the people who are watching and requesting activities, and just because my personality quirks mean that i would never participate in that exchange doesn't mean it's bad or invalid. cam performance is another genre of porn performance, and it's often a way to display personality that ordinary scenes generally don't allow for.
but the standards of good filmmaking still apply even when the filmmaking is live and continuous, and it is only minimally competent here. no doubt regular cam viewers would despise more stylized or glammed-up methods of shooting, lighting, or staging: unmediated authenticity is important to them. but anything filmed is already mediated, and the performer interactions are the only source of authenticity i care about.
verronica and audrey, neither of whom i knew much about but both of whom charmed me, are skilled at providing that authentic connection. their to-camera dirty talk is necessarily formulaic, dictated by what the viewers in the chat request, but their interaction with each other is more spontaneous and engaging. there's not enough of it, though: and in part i blame cherry pimps' set. the couch makes for a less intimate environment than the bed that they also use; it's no accident that the best of their camshows i've seen took place there.
