i'm not going to lie, i did a small dorky dance of excitement when i saw that bridgette b had a scene i could review this month. i have no particular views on her as a person, but as a performer, she's one of the best in the business, oriented particularly around character and narrative, and so one of the great improvisers of dialogue not just of her generation of porn stars, but likely of all time. maybe i just think that because her particular tics of things she thinks of to say are things that i find hot, or maybe the slight hint of her spanish accent does it for me; but for my money when she's really feeling a scene there's not a better dirty-talker in the state of california.
if she wasn't really feeling this scene it is undetectable: playing the woman scorned, who discovers romi rain hiding naked in the closet of her boyfriend (a cameoing brad newman), she's every inch a domme, quickly discovering romi's (well-played) attraction to her and turning it into a revenge that satisfies them both. in my last review of a hotandmean scene, i complained that abella danger had no idea how to play anger, which is to say how to modulate her performance of anger, until the sex kicked in and she could direct it into action she's comfortable with. from the moment she drags romi into the room, bridgette has already begun the sex, and her performance of anger is a master-class in modulation: ice-queen control, to which romi reacts with just the right amount of whimpering need, establishes the hierarchy from the get-go.
if i could only watch women in their thirties having sex from now on, i would. they know what they're doing, they know how to make it look good for the camera, they know what they like and how to ask for it, they know how to make up for their partner's deficiencies (if any), and they know how to express themselves verbally. bridgette and romi have a combined twenty-one years of experience in the industry, and without particularly specializing in girl/girl they've both distinguished themselves in the field. their easy back-and-forth, which never disrupts the flow of the scene or breaks with what has been previously established, creates a miniature narrative even within the sex, as they respond to one another so well that they've already both dumped brad and moved in together in their heads long before he wanders back in hoping to join them.
which is to say that the sex is magnificent, grown woman sex with few surprises or revelations but a lot of satisfaction. its capturing on video is significantly less magnificent: in terms of lighting and set, brazzers never dips below a certain level of professionalism, but rarely rises above it either, so the mostly static angles on the sex and their interactions were mostly adequate, and very infrequently better than that. the editing kept it moving at a decent clip, and brazzer's signature title sequences were, i thought, unusually good this time around. maybe i'm overrating everything based on affection for bridgette b. if so, who cares. it's my blog.
