i have, in the past, not cared much for the output of sapphicerotica. like a lot of european websites, it's short on narrative and long on room tone, overlit and amateurishly shot, with the same models everyone else uses again and again. that's all still the case here, but i enjoyed it a lot anyway.
most of that is due to the central performances. dorothy black is a veteran of twenty years' experience, and candy bell has been working since 2014, and both of them have primarily shot girl/girl for the past few years, so they know what they're doing. they're also both hungarian, although their limited dialogue is in english. candy's sly smile does a lot of narrative work here, as she looks like she's having a lot of fun teasing and pleasing dorothy. after the usual awkward setup involving some vague kind of exercise, they jump into sex with a kind of chemistry that i still find uncommon even though i'm watching so much more than i ever have.
but sapphicerotica is still sapphicerotica: the lighting is terrible, the set is as bland as possible, the cameras are pitched at weird perspective-forcing angles, the sound is so poorly designed that you can hear street traffic outside, and the editing draws attention to itself with dissolves that seem to insist you wonder what was just cut out. (based on the way the lighting changes from wide shots to close-ups, probably just technical issues. but it distracts from actually watching the scene.)
