carter cruise and jayden cole in “deuces are wild”

two girl/girl all-stars in a ridiculous high-concept scene for one of the few studios that reliably shoots ridiculous high-concept scenes in a compelling way? yes please. this could easily have been a twistys scene rather than a brazzers one, and the two leads playing poker competitors with a reason to hate each other at the beginning is the only reason it slots into the hot and mean theme. otherwise, in terms of lavish decor, radiant lighting, stylized costuming, and classy camerawork, it looks very much like a traditional glamour scene rather than the broader, sitcommy style brazzers is known for.
not that i'm complaining, just noting a visual discrepancy as it occurs to me. the premise of the scene, a tense poker showdown in which jayden accuses carter of cheating, was a little difficult to stomach, given the preposterous dialogue and jayden cole's limited acting range. (famous edm dj carter cruise is extremely in her element playing the coolest of customers, but jayden is out of her depth as the picking-a-fight tough girl her height frequently typecasts her as; she mostly comes across as sulky.) but once carter flips the table and they lock lips, it's smooth sailing: the sex was outstanding (of course it was, they're both at the top of the girl/girl field for a reason), even in a cramped loveseat and stood up against a bar. enjoyed themselves nothing: carter always brings 110%, and if i've been less impressed by jayden over the years it's not for lack of elbow grease. she was certainly no slouch here.
the fancy-dancy lighting makes me think that, although of course there are no credits, it was shot by françois clousot, either on his own or as a hired hand for keiran lee. the mobile cameras, swooping around to catch every angle of the action, were unexpected, and a nice touch to what could otherwise have been a very static scene thanks to the cramped staging area. perhaps it got a bit too mobile at times, moving for the sake of movement rather than as an elucidation of the action; but i'm so burnt out on girlsway-style tripod shooting that i felt it as a welcome relief.
