well, that's an unpleasant note to end on.
note i didn't say it was bad, just unpleasant. in fact there were some things i liked about this scene: i always appreciate a strong bdsm performance (i might feel differently if bdsm was as common in girl/girl as men dominating women is in boy/girl), and some of the photography was quite beautiful. wendy moon's performance as a silky domme, even in broken english (both performers are czech, and regulars in europe's extreme fetish scenes), was quite nice.
and that's it. what i couldn't stomach was chrissy fox's performance of utter terror and abjection. (it was a superb performance, which is part of why i disliked it so much.) maybe that means i don't actually like bdsm, just light vanilla kink; but every yes out of her seemed coerced, and although i didn't believe for a second that she didn't actually want to be there or that any of the quite mild flogging, two-pronged dildo, or nipple suction hurt nearly as much as she acted like they did, i felt uncomfortable at the thought of the viewers who might get off to her performance of misery. quite possibly this is kinkshaming.
what i'm less conflicted about hating is the awful set, which looks shitty for looking-shitty's sake, a utility closet that obviously isn't even a real utility closet, just a corner shower mocked up to look like one. and because everything took place in the corner, there was really only one angle to shoot from, so that much of it looked terrible, with dramatic shadows blocking the view and several positions in which almost nothing could be seen of either of them. still, those dramatic shadows made for some superb close-ups, even when every wide angle shot looked like ass. (and not in the good way.)
i've rarely enjoyed ddf's house of taboo line precisely because their ideas of bdsm don't line up very well with mine, and i'm a bit annoyed that this is only the second ddf girl/girl scene all month. if they're cutting back on girl/girl, as seems to be the case (they did post a few more scenes in april than i covered, but those were all re-releases of archive material), that's a shame; although they've never been among my top sites, no other site has ever quite captured the same raw, cheaply decadent tone they do.
