one of the most appealing young starlets to have emerged in the last year is cecilia lion, whose mane of natural hair and wide smile are visually striking in a field that can be endlessly samey. i've cooled on her since seeing her social media (among other things, she's politically unastute), but her performances are still delightful, and she's getting experienced enough to take the lead sexually, as she does here. i don't know harmony wonder as well (she's just about as new as cecilia, though does less girl/girl), but she's certainly cute here.
although she's definitely no masseuse. the biggest problem with porn brands built around the massage concept is that some porn performers (often older ones) are quite good at and knowledgeable about massage, while others are limited to some rubbing of hands across backs and talking vaguely about tension. the massage element was wisely limited here: they play eighteen-year-old friends who just crossed a big hike off their bucket list, and harmony rubbing cecilia's back is played less as strictly therapeutic than as a way for her to get her hands on her. harmony plays having a crush on cecilia well, and if the movement into sex doesn't quite feel wholly believable (cecilia reciprocating the crush comes out of nowhere), it's adorably awkward in a way that feels genuine to the youthfulness of the characters.
there are no surprises in allgirlmassage scenes, so far as filmmaking goes: the angles and shot rotation are perfectly predictable, the set is overlit and unimaginatively staged, the editing is crisp and to the point. they're so clean and rather antiseptic-feeling, looking so much like a sitcom that subconsciously i expect them to end on a joke every time.
