the premise of the scene, that calm, centered masseuse india is fooled into thinking stressed-out lyra is straight because she's married to someone with an ambiguous name, is a flimsy one, and the turn from "no, actually i'm gay" to "let's explore each other's bodies" is hardly natural, but they're so good at playing off each other that it works moment to moment if not as a whole. i don't know that it rises to the level of ironic that once the sex starts lyra is in charge (it could just as easily be read as inconsistent characterization), but it is very good sex, slippery thanks to the nuru gel and enthusiastic thanks to india fuckin summer (special shout-out to her character's surprise that scissoring is a position) and lyra fuckin law.
the camerawork is gamma's usual stationary three-camera setup, switching between long shots, medium shots, and close-ups, in which only mediums are ever particularly well-composed, all shot from the same side of the room like they're in a sitcom, with bright overhead lighting that both works for the pseudo-professional setting (although the fact that the action is obviously taking place in a home bathroom instead of a more businesslike space is distracting once you notice it) and means that no particular mood is established. both of the women being blondes means there's little possible visual contrast, although at least the dark wood of the sink behind them allows something to break up the pallor throughout the sex.
the editing was good and crisp, flowing relatively naturally with the action, with few unmotivated cuts and no obvious errors. i even liked the scene-setting library music, often a coin toss in these scenes, but smokey, relaxed blues works well for such silly, inconsequential fluff of a story.
