i feel like i deserve restitution for sitting through that introduction. none of the four principles in the second half of this stupid movie can act, the story they are telling about new york lawyers suing a las vegas plastic surgeon for sexually harrassing strippers is profoundly stupid and nonsensical, and every minute of the twenty before the sex begins feels like an eternity because girlfriends doesn't know how to pace for shit.
i will note that i only just realized that long-serving gonzo director b. skow directed lesbian legal #14, because i happened to check iafd.com for this scene. presumably he's why the color grading is so professional, and why the sex is filmed in a minimally more competent manner than we saw in, for example, lesbian psychodramas #30. presumably he's also why the storytelling is so painfully slow and stupid, but then if he's working for a client he has to provide them with what their customers expect, and girlfriends is always painfully slow and stupid.
i've seen danni rivers put in competent work elsewhere, but kat dior is new to me, and did not impress me here. she's great at the sex, of course (she's a pro), but she's certainly not remotely credible as a, uh, high-powered new york lawyer. danni, meanwhile, is only bland and unengaging as an actor (though much more electric as a sexual performer), despite putting forward some effort to keep the scenario alive during the sex. the sex is unusually engaging even for girlfriends, and this pairing would have made for a much better gonzo scene than it is burdened with the stupid, badly-acted scenario.
