which is why although there was plenty wrong with it, i enjoyed this scene quite a bit. it's the first scene to feature a black woman that i've gotten to see this month, and since i live in the real world where everyone can be hot and not an aryan fantasyland where only colonizers are, i appreciate as much melanin in my porn as i can get. (one thing about lowest-common-denominator porn is that it's more reliably diverse than the high-class premium stuff, because whiteness is a class marker.) i haven't seen relative newbie chanel skye before (it looks like she also goes by leisha lush), and this seems to be her first girl/girl scene, but she was competent if not outstanding. paige owens, who is also relatively new, has shot a lot more (sigh, watch whiteness work) and so carried the story, such as it was.
brazzers leans into broad comedy more than any other porn company, which is at least an identity, and since i enjoy comedy more than drama and am not wired such that laughter and arousal are mutually exclusive, i don't mind a bit. of course, whether it's good comedy is another question.
the setup here of paige being a new homeowner haunted by chanel, the previous tenant who refuses to leave, could have been played spooky but that would probably have been even worse: as comedy, it at least zips along at a decent pace until paige finally finds her and decides that her sexual frustration needs an outlet. there is an uncomfortable subtext to the white girl semi-forcing herself on the black girl, and while paige was pretty good at domineering dirty talk i felt she crossed a line once or twice ("you don't need to breathe"?!!). but for the most part the sex was perfectly pleasant, if never spectacular: despite the ridiculous porn positions, they sold their desire and gratification well.
the camerawork was never better than adequate (although one thing i will always appreciate about brazzers is the professional-grade color correction, as reliable as network television). the editing was a few degrees better thanks to the snappy introductory sequence. and while the script was pure foolishness it had the grace to know that it was. porn that cheerfully acknowledges its own cheesiness isn't the highest that porn can aspire, but there's a place for it.
