another week, another first scene from a girlfriends dvd originally released in 2018 but not put online until today. this is the only time all month we've been graced with an appearance from girlfriends' only contract star, prinzzess. she's been doing precisely this kind of scene for over a decade, and could do it in her sleep. i'm not convinced she didn't do it in her sleep this time. harmony wonder, who i suggested was less memorable than cecilia lion in the scene she shared with her earlier this month, acts rings around her as a, uh, college student who doesn't want to go study abroad because she has a crush on her dorm mother (?), prinzzess.
at least until the sex starts, when harmony plays the younger woman almost exclusively in terms of whimpers. if there's one thing prinzzess can do, even in her sleep, it's sell a sex scene, so her sheer competence made up for harmony's rather passive approach in bed; and in fact both of them sold the physical exertion of their activity even if they never sold me on their connection together.
once more, the pokey pacing, stilted acting and deadpan filmmaking of girlfriends remains dull and wearying. i can at least appreciate the colorfulness of the set (which never looks remotely like college housing and in fact the opening shots explicitly show it as a residential location in the valley), but i was disgusted with the horny camerawork lingering on asses through the interminable opening. complaining about the horniness of camerawork in porn might seem to be a classic case of missing the point, but i always prefer the filmmaking to be in support of the emotional tenor of a scene rather than pointing and saying to the viewer "hey you, it's time to jerk off."
