scarlett sage and shyla jennings in “easter egg-gasm”
scene title: easter egg-gasm

site: all her luv (missax)
production credits: missa x (dir., ed., scr.)
trailer
if the last allherluv scene was the most complex, emotionally mature, and dramatically complete scene we've seen all month (thanks to writer-director whitney wright), this piece of holiday-themed fluff is entirely its opposite: a silly premise featuring two women playing well under their actual age, with no particular shape to the story, no narrative payoff to several seeds planted, or any complex emotions at all.
which is fine: not every porn scene needs to be in contention for the palme d'or, and scarlett sage and shyla jennings are probably the two girl/girl stars most suited to playing up a silly premise with no real acting, but a great deal of sexual enthusiasm, necessary. what their relationship is supposed to be is never spelled out in the scene, but presumably they're meant for stepsisters; shyla surprising scarlett with easter-themed sex toys, particularly a vibrating egg and carrot-shaped dildos is loosely gestured toward as a prank that tempts scarlett away from a heterosexual relationship, but all of that is dropped once the sexual shenanigans begin and screaming, chasing, and half-hearted wrestling take over for dialogue or plot.
the filmmaking was on the poorer side of the allherluv standard. if the scene had played to the site's traditional strength of psychologically-fraught confrontations in a single setting, it might have been fine: but zany action and physical comedy shot with the high angles, languorous pacing and austere tones of thudding drama just falls flat. once the combat over the vibrating egg resolves in mutual kissing, the sex is shot fine, although with highly variable lighting depending on the angle and the situation of the big picture window in the bedroom set.
i never believed either scarlett or shyla as a distinct character for a moment: they just played their usual personas, scarlett flustered and a little unhinged, shyla mischievous and smirking. no reason to fix what isn't broken, of course; and once the sex gets underway their mutual strong appetites and high energy kept it lively. but like every holiday-themed scene, it was ultimately more cute and disposable than memorable or distinctive.
