the follow-up to the charlotte stokely/serene siren scene, in which sovereign syre and penny pax, playing girlfriends who have known each other since childhood but got together relatively recently, languorously discuss the conversation they had at breakfast with charlotte and serene, once more gesturing towards a faint hint of jealousy in order to pretend that there's an undercurrent of emotion to the scene. but soon enough they just turn to expressing affection which leads, naturally, to analingus-heavy sex.
both sovereign and penny are pros, with a combined two decades of having sex on camera, and they're also experienced and intelligent enough to be able to improvise dialogue naturally, apparently spontaneously generating a shared history (if that was scripted, they're even better actors than i thought) and making the sex feel naturalistic despite the porn positions, even keeping up a running commentary on their supposed different levels of experience with analingus.
the camera work was, as usual, outstanding, and although the muted, golden hue over everything is a far more interesting lighting and design choice than nine-tenths of porn ever gets, it's also getting a bit tiresome that sweetheart (or ricky greenwood) is only playing the one visual note.
i have to ding editing heavily here, despite the fact that sweetheart generally features very good editing, because greenwood interrupts the action at one point to tell penny not to finger herself while sovereign licks her; which is his prerogative as the director, i just shouldn't have the privilege of hearing it. (it may have been edited out in the interim, but i download all the scenes the first day they're posted, so i get all the mistakes, if any.)
