our last mindgeek scene, from the most consistently mediocre mindgeek brand. reality kings is a volume business, pumping out bland, forgettable product with no distinctive style and no ambition whatever. the fact that worthwhile scenes still come off that production line is probably due more to the law of averages (and to the anonymous producers of those particular scenes) than to corporate strategy or editorial oversight.
vienna black has been in the business for two years, while kiarra kai is new as of 2019, and undergoing the usual new-girl trouble of settling on a name. (in general, when a performer goes by more than one name, i use the name in the site credits in the blurbs above but tag them by the name they use on social media so i can find them across my blog.) vienna is supposed to be playing the inexperienced one, but she clearly has so much more experience than kiarra that she leads the scene, directing nearly all of the action and having so much fun that it can feel like she's overcompensating for the shy newbie. not that kiarra fails to distinguish herself: her hair-trigger sensitivity is adorable, and she's enthusiastic throughout. but vienna, giggly and ultra-comfortable, really shines. i've not paid attention to her before, but this scene made me a fan.
the story is slight: kiarra slips into panties with a vibrator for some solitary enjoyment, hastily covers up when roommate vienna returns and pretends to be studying, vienna chats aimlessly about a bad date, wonders what she's studying, and finds the remote control for the vibrator and plays with it. the intro felt interminable, since neither of them are solid improvisers or were given a script with meat on it. but once vienna starts wondering what that buzzing noise is, and on discovering kiarra's secret insists on joining in the fun, the scene unrolls like a breeze. the sex is delightful, if frequently ridiculous (one girl in doggy while the other drapes over her awkwardly so as not to block the camera from seeing her crotch is probably my least favorite common girl/girl porn position), and vienna's tireless fascination with kiarra's sensitive genitals kept a narrative flow even within the sex.
it was shot extremely competently, too: despite having a window open to a palm-tree garden, the natural light didn't blow out the set lighting, and both womens' melanin was allowed to glow rather than being overlit so as to appear white (as i've seen happen to both). because mindgeek doesn't do credits outside of special occasions (digital playground movies, the twistys treats) i don't know for certain that this scene wasn't made by the same people whose filmmaking i've despised in other rk scenes; but i'm guessing not.
